Livernois Motorsports Shelby GT1000R Build
Added 08.20.2010

After seeing the GT800R we built for a customer in Massachusetts, we had a customer approach us about building a GT1000R. It has a very long list of mods, and would probably be easier to say what wasn't modified, but it is powered by a Livernois built big bore GT wet sump aluminum block, CNC heads, Livernois Motorsports GT500 Stage 1C Camshafts, and a 4.0L Whipple.

The GT800R made 862 RWHP / 798 RWTQ and has been a best of 9.70 @ 148 mph at a weight of 4,090 lbs.

The "GT1000R", a 2009 GT500, made 1006 RWHP / 916 RWTQ! The dyno sheet and video can be seen below... over 800 RWTQ at 2,600 rpms!

Added 08.10.2010

The car, a 6-speed manual, was baselined with a stock tune before the install with roughly 5,000 miles and made 390 RWHP / 384 RWTQ. The only modification was OEM Shelby GT500 mufflers.

With our previous dyno tune loaded, it made 418 RWHP / 400 RWTQ.

After installing the Steeda CAI and re-tuning, it made 430 RWHP / 410 RWTQ. A gain of 12 RWHP / 10 RWTQ.

In stock form, the truck baselined 326 RWHP / 332 RWTQ. After the dyno tune with no other modifications, it made 347 RWHP / 365 RWTQ.

We then installed a CAI and retuned the truck. With this being the only modification, it made 353 RWHP / 370 RWTQ.

In addition to the power increases, our transmission calibration made it feel like an entirely different truck. Shifts were crisp and firm and throttle response was greatly improved!

Livernois Motorsports Attends Camaro5 Fest in Valdosta, GA
Added 04.22.2010

Livernois Motorsports attended Camaro5 Fest in Valdosta, Georgia April 16-18, 2010. Our display showcased our product offerings for the 5th Gen Camaro along with 10 Livernois Motorsports built 2010 Camaros.

Amongst these Livernois built Camaro's were the LS7 car which was featured in Hot Rod Magazine and a 650 RWHP 419ci Magnacharged L99.

Livernois' Rick LeBlanc piloted the L99 car, ripping off several consistent 10-second quarter mile times on 20-inch drag radials, with a best of 10.63 @ 135 mph and the runner-up position in the Quick 16 drag race. Spectators were amazed that such a stock appearing car ran the way it did on those tires. Many said it was "The baddest car on the grounds".

Over 500 Camaros and 1,000+ spectators attended this great event.

Livernois Motorsports would like to thank Camaro5 for putting on a great event and all of our customers who came from around the country and let us use their vehicles in our display!

We had an excellent time and it was really nice to put names with faces of customers and vendors who we work with and whose vehicles we've worked on.

After returning home, the car was taken to Milan Dragway and went even quicker, running a new best ET of 10.44 @ 134 mph.
